Join Jimmy Sferes on a musical journey that explores the history of the guitar and its origins. He will discuss and demonstrate the sound qualities and playing technique inherent in several types of instruments including acoustic, electric, resonator and slide.

Jimmy Sferes played his first guitar at age seven and has been a professional musician, composer, producer and instructor for over 40 years.  During his diverse music and recording career he has opened for the likes of David Wilcox, Delbert McClinton, Blues Traveler, Larry Coryell, Richard Elliott, and America.  As the musical duo Sferes & White he and his wife have toured nationally and performed on Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion.” Jimmy also recently composed and recorded the instrumental soundtrack for the soon to be released modern western film “Out of the Wild.”
